I have absolutely horrible period pains - what can i do about it? Im onlY 15 years old
I also have that pain (maybe not as bad as you, but still:D)
I've found that doint sit-ups and being active helps.. It might sound uncomfortable, but in my case it really helps. Another thing that works, is lying stomac down.. And then theres ofcourse painkillers.. But dont overdo that ok?!
Hope it helps:D”
well, i have the same problem(I nearly fainted in science once, the pain was that bad) and am also 15, but I told my mum and she mad an appointment at the docters and they gave me stronger painkillers than you can buy and they helped a lot. So,I would suggest talking to your mum about it. A good sleep and an hot water bottle also help.”
Hi, i'm fourteen this year, and i've had my fair share of period pains, all i can say is take some ibroprufen, have a hot drink, and i've heard banana's are good for the cramps. Your period pains will change when you get older, and i hope you are relieved soon :) x”
I get really bad pains too and have discovered that they get worse if i have started extra dance lesson and consequently lost some weight. I have tried every pain killer under the sun, but none of them work. I try to keep the weight on to make them less painful, but this is very hard as a dancer. Codeine seems to work the best.”
I have always had problem with my period pains. I would faint and be sick every month. I went to the doctors and they gave me strong pain killers. I am now on the pill which has helped but has not got rid of them completely.”
I had the same problem when i was your age hun (: i think it's something a lot of girls go through. I went to see my GP about it and he suggested putting me on the contraceptive pill which is supposed to make periods shorter and lighter and reduce period pain - it worked amazingly and massively reduced my discomfort, some times i didn't even feel anything other then a bit of a light ache (:
If that option doesn't appeal to you then i suggest painkillers and also, it may sound strange, but sitting down with your knees pulled up against your chest, rocking either from side to side or backwards and forwards can really take the edge off after a while (:
You know what works it a hot water bottle and banana's i know its wierd but it works. painkillers will make a difference don't worry though as all people have mains. you not alone! :)”

If it really bad you should see the doctor. There are some treatments available now.
It is not good to overdo the painkillers.”
