I'm 16, female, and bisexual. I realised it when I was 14, however I do remember a time when I was 10 and thought I was a lesbian because I'd felt attracted to one of my sister's friends! I realised that I am attracted to both genders after I had kissed a few female friends. Admittedly I have not had that much experience with either gender further than kissing and light fondling, but there is no question in my mind as to my sexuality. As far as I'm concerned, you are what you are and even though it may take you a time to realise you are bi or gay, once you do you'll find that just feels right. If you say "I'm bi"when people ask, but that doesn't feel right to you, then you probably aren't.
It's probably good to point out that a vast majority of teenagers experience some gay feelings during their adolescence, and find they feel quite different as they get older.
Also, just so you know, it can be really difficult admitting to other teenagers that you are bi. They may make comments about being "greedy" or a "lazy gay" and be unkind because they think it's wrong, but if you feel that that is what you are, then it is your sexuality and your life, so tell them to back off and let you enjoy being you.”

I am a 15 year old guy who's had sex with both guys and girls. Personally I discovered that I was 'bi' after seeking someone to get close to when I was unhappy, and discovering that morally and physically I didn't mind which sex they were. Which was really unusual as previously I had been quite homophobic and ignorant. If you find both genders attractive it doesn't always make you bi though, I think trial and error is the best way of determining that.

I dont personally think it is something that you can decide at that age (15), im 20 now and still dont know so i consider myself bi as i am attracted to men and women for now. I came out as Bi last year to my closest friends, I'm yet to tell my parents. I'm a 17 year old girl and I've "liked" girls since I was about...well the first time I ever thought a girl was good looking was when I was very little and I told myself it was wrong, now I know it wasn't.
However, many people can fancy the same sex and not be gay/lesbian.
No matter which way you swing, you need to be absolutely sure before you tell anyone, because there really is no going back (I don't want to make it sound horrifying...). I haven't told my parents yet because my Dad's side of the family isn't very accepting, so I'm waiting for the oppertune moment.

I'm 28 and have had sex with both men and women. I went with guys when I was younger cos I thought I should, but I actually identify as a lesbian. Occasionally I find men attractive but sex with them just doesn't do it for me! I think when you're young its more important to be comfortable with yourself and whichever partner you choose then what label you identify with. Also you can be bi and still prefer one sex more than the other. When it comes down to it be happy, in love, loved back and comfortable, thats more important than your label”

It's not something that someone can tell you...but do you get aroused around guys? (physically).. do you fantasise about them? You won't know until you try it... but there's nothing to say you are / aren't gay.. it's just how you feel towards another person.
