I came out over two years ago now and yes, its one of the hardest things to do, but unlike some people I decieded I would come out in a time that suited me and when I did come out, Ive never been more shocked in all my life. The initial responce from the guys was "About time mate!" but it was the girls that made me laugh. On memorable responce was a good friend of mine she was jumping up and down screaming "OMG I HAVE A GAY MATE!!! IM GONNA GO SHOPPING AND HAVE BEUTY SESSIONS!!!!!!!!!!I M WAY EXCITED!!!!!!!". So as you can tell, my friends and school was generaly a good responce, its my family that are more shall we say, unresponcive-becaus e-they-dont-want-to -believe-its-true kinda responce?
Anyway my main advice to anyone who is confused or unsure about how to come out or even if they dont know if they're gay or not, I would say dont listen to others about what its like. Do what feels right and try things out for yourself. Do it when it FEELS right.”

I'm 18 and for years ppl have thought i was gay, some people just decide it and wont listen 2 me if i say im straight, like Lusipher, it happened so much that i started to think maybe i am and have found myself being turned on by guys but just as much as girls, but now i dont know, i dont tink im gay... possibly bi. but im afraid to try loose my virginity incase i cant do it...”

yea no what u mean man i av the same problem people think im gay someone even said i culd be bi it used 2 bother me but now im really not bothered i just say 2 people well if in the future i turn out gay im gay but at the moment i like woman”

I am a 20 year old and im a gay guy ive had sex with men and it has been unprotected sometimes but always in the back of my mind there is being HIV nagging away at me as im to embarresed to go to my doctors and dont really know anything about the symptoms....? are there any symptoms bein HIV positive..?? are there other ways of finding out if you are or not without going to see your doctor ??”

im 15 and i get asked all the time if im gay coz im camp and to be honest it does annoy and upset me coz i tell all my friends and people im straight which i am but im starting to think if im bisexual because ive started to take an intrest in boys but i still get turned on by girls but only if its something sexual , my whole family are against someone in our family being gay or bisexual, and i think im still unsure or indenial or something but i dont want to be bisexual or gay , coz it would cause me so much problems and i just want to live like a normal life. and if i did come to terms with my sexuality i deffiantly wouldnt tell my friends or family till im way older..”

i dont know wether im bi or not cz i have had a sexual experience with one of my best friends but i still like gurls but i dont know wether i like boys aswell but im not bothered about i i thought i was a bit of a laugh realli but im if im bi im bi not fussed just dnt know as i am haveing intercourse with my girlfriend and i am enjoying it :)”

I'm 15 yeas old and in the last year of my secondary education. i think i am bisexual but i don't want to tell my friends. i don't know how they will react. My school is a girls' school so there are quite a few lesbians and bisexuals but I've been saying for years that i was "as straight as a ruler" but not really believing it. I'm just worried that my friends will frown on me because I've been denying my sexuality for so long.”
