  1. Sex varied a lot throughout pregnancy. Despite feeling nauseous for most of the first four months, I also felt really horny and my partner couldn't keep up with me! Intimacy continued throughout pregnancy, but with adjustments to usual positions to make it physically possible and comfortable with my growing size. We passed our due date, and so had sex doggy style, and I kept my bum raised in the air for 10 minutes afterwards - apparently there's a chemical in semen which can help soften and loosen the mucus plug which seals the cervix. When it comes away, labour often starts soon afterwards. I had a 'show' (of the plug) the next day, and went into labour a day after that. It could be coincidence, but I reckon the sex had something to do with it!”

  2. For the first 4 months I head my head down the toilet constantly but after that sex was better than before. I found that my partner was trying to be extra careful and thoughtful. The only thing off putting was when my daughter decided to spar with my bladder.”

It’s virtually impossible to have sex in the same position, so you have to adopt different positions, and that’s probably backwards or something like that!”
